The Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ is an evolution and variant of the popular Anfibio Rebel 2K. With its symmetrical shape, central seating position, and extended stern, the Rebel 3KL+ offers plenty of paddling enjoyment and high comfort even on long trips and in light rapids. Equipped with a spray deck and a skeg, it is ready for any adventure.

Thanks to its length, it is particularly suitable for tall individuals. It also provides extra buoyancy and cargo capacity. Despite its size, the Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ weighs only about 3 kg, making it highly versatile for all packrafting adventures—both on land and water.

Usage

The Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ is especially suitable for tall people (up to 195 cm) who need extra interior length for a more comfortable seating position. At the same time, it is an excellent option for those carrying a lot of gear.

Thanks to its design as a long single-person packraft, the Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ offers great enjoyment on longer trips in calm waters as well as in smaller rapids. Despite its extensive features, it remains a lightweight packraft. Weighing just 3 kg with a packed size of 35 x 20 cm, it is still well-suited for a combination of hiking and paddling. If you’re looking for a lighter option, the Anfibio Rebel 2K might be a better choice.

Design

The Anfibio Rebel 3KL+ weighs 3 kg (one kilogram more than the 2K) and provides an additional 41 cm in length (hence the “L” in the name), along with several extra features that primarily enhance paddling comfort:

• Comfortable, adjustable seating position thanks to an innovative seating system
• Increased load capacity due to higher buoyancy and various storage options (behind the seat, in front of the feet, on the tubes, etc.)
• Higher speed due to the boat’s total length of 272 cm
• Robust construction (entirely made of Anfibio’s reinforced Plus(+) material)

The Rebel 3KL+ is symmetrically designed, meaning the bow and stern are identical in shape, each measuring 52 cm. The tubes have a diameter of 27 cm, providing sufficient buoyancy to carry up to 180 kg. The parallel tube design allows the packraft to achieve relatively high speeds compared to models from many other manufacturers. All Anfibio packrafts are made from Anfibio’s newly reinforced Plus(+) material. Eight grab loops (attachment points) are strategically placed on the packraft. The packraft is equipped with the simple and reliable Boston valve, which is also used by MRS.

Spray Deck

The packraft comes with a spray deck that protects against rain and splashing water while providing warmth in colder weather. In warm and dry conditions, the J-shaped opening of the spray deck can be secured to the side of the cockpit using a zipper and Velcro, allowing for an open cockpit without the spray deck. The spray deck has no loose parts that risk getting lost on your trips. All seams are sealed to prevent water from seeping through.

Tubebags

Tubebags refer to Anfibio’s internal storage system, which is available as an optional add-on when purchasing a Rebel. Two zippers on either side of the cockpit allow gear to be stored inside the packraft’s tubes. Each zipper conceals a separate, fully waterproof storage compartment with a capacity of 70 liters each. These compartments are called “chambers” since they are separated from the main air chamber of the packraft. Even if one of the zippers were accidentally opened on the water, the packraft would still maintain air pressure in the main chamber. This makes tubebags not only an excellent storage solution but also an added safety feature.

To use the tubebags, Anfibio recommends first opening the zipper, packing the gear into the two storage chambers, closing the zippers, and then inflating the main chamber. When removing gear, Anfibio advises first deflating the main chamber, then opening the zippers and retrieving the items.

Skeg/Fin

The packraft features an integrated skeg. The skeg improves tracking (course stability) during paddling. If you plan to paddle long distances where shallow water is not a concern, we highly recommend using the skeg. If you expect to paddle in shallow areas, we suggest removing the skeg to prevent damage. The skeg is an optional accessory.
