Anfibio Alpha XC

The Anfibio Alpha XC (Crosscountry) weighs only 1.5 kg and has a packed volume of 1.5 liters when rolled up. Despite its lightweight design, the packraft is made from the same robust and durable material as the rest of Anfibio’s packrafts.

The Anfibio Alpha XC is very similar to its larger counterpart, the Anfibio Delta MX, but is smaller and lighter.

Area of use

Anfibio packrafts are best suited for users who want to travel very light and for those looking to use their packraft as a tool to navigate through the wilderness. You may need to paddle a short stretch of a river to continue your hike or cross a lake to reach a mountain you plan to climb. The Alpha XC is also a great tool for mine exploration enthusiasts, geocachers, canyoneers, and similar activities.

The Alpha XC performs best on completely calm waters. It is so small and compact that you can always carry it in your bag on a bus, in a car, in a backpack, or attached to a bicycle. The Alpha XC is not designed for whitewater paddling.

Design

The Anfibio Alpha XC features a symmetrical design, meaning the bow and stern are shaped the same way. The tubes have a diameter of 25 cm, which is sufficient to support up to 120 kg. The tubes run parallel to each other, allowing the packraft to achieve relatively high speeds compared to models from other manufacturers. All Anfibio packrafts are made from an extremely lightweight and durable nylon material, further reinforced with a special surface coating. Six grab loops (attachment points) are strategically placed on the packraft. The packraft is equipped with the simple and reliable Boston valve, also used by MRS.

Fin/skeg

The packraft has an integrated fin. The fin improves the packraft’s tracking stability. If you plan to paddle long distances where grounding is not a major risk, we highly recommend using the fin. If you anticipate paddling in shallow areas, we recommend removing the fin to avoid damage.
