Vikingraft Crazyhorse is a huge and very stable packraft with room for two adults. The packraft is equipped with tall and comfortable seats both front and rear. The high seating position means that you get a comfortable ride and a much better overview of your surroundings than in other smaller packrafts. Vikingraft Crazyhorse has a slightly tapered shape with a wider rear and narrower front. All Vikingrafts packrafts are made out of an extremely durable material that allows you to use the packraft for many long years in both cold and hot temperatures.

The packraft is equipped with internal storage space via a 100% waterproof zipper in the stern (tizip). The internal storage space is perfect for storing things that you only use in the camp, such as tents and sleeping bags.

Area of ​​use

Packrafting – the phenomenon that takes outdoor life to new levels! Equipped with a packraft and a paddle in your backpack, you can visit places in nature where no one has set foot before. A packraft can be rolled up into a small package and can easily be placed in the backpack.

Crazyhorse is best suited for two people as it is normally used as a double packraft. Despite this, you can also easily paddle the Crazyhorse alone.

Like all Vikingraft packrafts, the packraft is extremely durable and can withstand long periods of hard wear in both cold and hot climates.

The packraft is mainly recommended for paddling in calmer and easily flowing water.

Animals and Crazyhorse

Crazyhorse can be equipped with an inflatable floor to further increase the bearing capacity of the packraft. We recommend this option especially to people who paddle with one or more dogs. The inflatable floor insulates against the cold water and makes the trip much more comfortable for your hairy friend!

Regarding paddles

If you are two people paddling Crazyhorse, we recommend that each of you use a canoe paddle or a multi paddle (a multi paddle can be used as either 1 kayak paddle or 2 canoe paddles). If you paddle alone, you do it with a kayak paddle with double blades.

Internal storage space

The packraft is equipped with internal storage space via a 100% waterproof zipper in the stern (tizip). The internal storage space is perfect for storing things that you only use in the camp, such as tents and sleeping bags. The zipper is made by the German company Tizip and is very reliable. Via the internal storage space, it is possible to transport large amounts of equipment without taking up any available seating space.

Transporting gear inside the packraft has several advantages:

• Everything that is transported inside the packraft’s tubes is guaranteed to stay dry.
• When you pack in the tubes, you lower the center of gravity, which results in a more stable ride.
• The packable surface is increased ALOT.

The major disadvantage of internal storage space is that you can not access the inside of the packraft without releasing the air. Therefore, the storage space is particularly well suited for transporting camp equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, most of the tour food, etc.

Design

Vikingraft Crazyhorse is a huge packraft. With its 328 centimeters outer length, it stands out from the crowd! Two adult paddlers can fit without problems. The large seats results in a very comfortable paddling position even during longer paddles and the internal storage system means that you do not have to carry bags etc. clamped on top of the tubes when paddling. This gives you a fantastic view from the Crazyhorse!

The removable fin (included in the purchase) makes paddling the packraft faster than normal and significantly improves tracking.

Vikingraft Crazyhorse is delivered with seats that can be easily be removed from the packraft using buckles, if you want to minimize weight.

Equipment can be attached to Vikingraft Crazyhorse through four powerful attachment points both front and rear – a total of 8. In the stern we recommend that you fasten an Anfibio Deckpack and in the bow you may fasten your slightly heavier backpack or bag.

Carrying handles are available on the front, back and inside of the tube, which simplifies transport over land. The carrying handles can also be used as attachment points for carbines, for example. If you are two people paddling, you can fill the tubes with gear and carry the raft easily using 1 person in the rear and one in the front.

Fins / spoon

The Crazyhorse is equipped with a removable fin. The fin improves the packrafts tracking and speed. If you are paddling over longer distances, where groundings are not of great risk, we can warmly recommend using the fin. If you know that you will paddle in shallow areas, we recommend that you remove the fin so as not to damage it.

Crazyhorse is equipped with a floor material twice as thick as the material on the solo packrafts from Vikingraft. This is due to the increased wear that naturally occurs from the potentially heavier load that is transported in the boat.

Vikingrafts packrafts are equipped with extremely strong joints that are both sewn, welded and taped. The material is UV-resistant, abrasion-resistant and flexible at low temperatures.
