Vikingraft Phantom
Vikingraft Phantom is a light and very durable packraft without spraydeck made for one person.
Usage
Packrafting – the phenomenon that takes outdoor life to new levels! Equipped with a packraft and paddle in your backpack, you can visit places in nature where no one has set foot before. A packraft is rolled up into a small package and can easily be placed inside the backpack.
A packraft without spraydeck is used first and foremost by people who are looking to keep the weight of their equipment as low as possible. Another reason to opt out of the spraydeck is to minimize the number of details on the packraft, which may break. Vikingraft Phantom is appreciated by fishermen and hunters, because when fishing and hunting you usually want plenty of space around you for various equipment.
Vikingraft Phantom is an extremely durable packraft that can withstand long periods of hard wear. Therefore, the packraft is particularly suitable for people who paddle often and for a long time.
We recommend this raft especially to fishermen, hunters and photographers who are looking for high quality at a reasonable price.
The packraft can be used in lighter rapids, but as always when paddling, you should never paddle alone and always use adequate safety equipment (life jacket, dry suit and helmet).
Design
Vikingraft Phantom is a relatively long packraft with its 276 centimeters outer length. 135 centimeters inner length provides plenty of space for even the longest of paddlers. Shorter paddlers advantageously equip the Phantom with an Advanced Footrest from MRS, to shorten the inner length.
Phantom is fast in the water thanks to the parallel tubes and the long, streamlined waterline. The detachable fin (included in the purchase) makes the packraft even faster and significantly improves tracking.
The packraft is delivered with a seat and backrest that can be easily detached using buckles.
Equipment can be attached to the Vikingraft Phantom through the use of four powerful attachment points both front and rear – a total of 8 pieces. In the stern we recommend that you fasten an Anfibio Deckpack and in the bow you may fasten your slightly heavier backpack or bag.
Carrying handles are available on the front, back and inside of the tube for easy transport over land. The carrying handles can also be used as attachment points for carbines, for example.
Fin / Skeg
The Vikingraft Phantom is equipped with an integrated fin. The fin improves the packrafts tracking. If you are paddling over longer distances, where groundings are not of great risk, we can warmly recommend using the fin. If you know that you will paddle in shallow areas, we recommend that you remove the fin so as not to damage it.
