Anfibio Revo XL+ versatile packraft with self-bailer

Anfibio Revo XL+ is an ultralight whitewater packraft. It is equipped with a self-bailer with an integrated closure mechanism and the unique TwinTail™ system, which enhances maneuverability and stability. Despite its extensive list of features, the weight remains relatively low. This packraft closely resembles the Anfibio Revo CL but is slightly longer, wider, and more powerful.

Intended Use

The Revo XL+ is designed for paddlers seeking an advanced, durable packraft for adventures in varied water conditions, including whitewater. The self-bailing design makes it particularly suitable for paddling in wet environments where rapid water drainage is essential.

Closable Self-Bailing System

One of the most prominent features of the Anfibio Revo XL+ is its self-bailing system, which makes it particularly suitable for paddling in whitewater and other aquatic environments where water frequently enters the boat.

The integrated self-bailer consists of a drainage hole in the bottom equipped with a roll closure. This system quickly removes water from inside the packraft, eliminating the need for manual bailing and allowing you to focus on paddling, even in more demanding conditions.

What sets the Revo XL (and Revo CL) apart from many other self-bailing packrafts is that the bailer opening can be closed, making it more versatile for different types of water. When paddling on calmer waters, where self-bailing is unnecessary, you can easily close the bailer hole to keep the interior completely dry. This significantly broadens the packraft’s range of use.

Thanks to the self-bailing construction combined with the inflatable floor mat, the seating position is elevated above the waterline, further reducing the risk of getting soaked when paddling in more challenging conditions.

TwinTail™

The TwinTail™ system is a unique design solution in the Anfibio Revo series that enhances both stability and maneuverability. The double stern, or TwinTail shape, provides better directional stability in the water while reducing water resistance. This means the packraft maintains a straighter course without requiring constant correction from the paddler, resulting in a more energy-efficient and enjoyable paddling experience.

This design also influences how the packraft responds in moving water. The TwinTail system helps reduce rear waves and turbulence, making the Revo XL+ feel more responsive and easy to maneuver even in technical whitewater.

Inflatable Floor

The Revo XL+ comes with an inflatable floor. The floor is a crucial part of the packraft’s design and functionality, serving as an additional protective and comfort-enhancing component, especially in combination with the self-bailing function.

The floor is designed to create a smooth and stable surface in the cockpit, making it more comfortable to sit for extended paddling trips. Beyond comfort, the mat also optimizes the self-bailing system. Since the floor is raised from the bottom of the packraft, water can easily flow beneath it and drain through the self-bailing valve, preventing the paddler from sitting in a puddle.

The floor material is durable, water-resistant, and easy to clean, ensuring it remains in good condition even with regular use. Thanks to its adaptable design, the mat can also be combined with other accessories, such as extra seats or cushions, to further enhance the paddling experience.

Tube Bags

The Anfibio Revo XL+ comes with tube bags. Tube bags are a smart and efficient way to pack gear inside the tubes, protecting your belongings from water while also contributing to a balanced weight distribution in the packraft. Essentially, tube bags are waterproof storage pouches that hang inside the tubes behind a waterproof zipper.

By storing heavy items inside the tubes, the packraft has a lower center of gravity, improving stability and making it easier to maneuver. Additionally, more space is freed up in the cockpit, resulting in a more comfortable paddling experience.

Thigh Straps

The Anfibio Revo XL+ is equipped with ergonomic thigh straps that provide increased control and stability for the paddler, especially in moving water. These adjustable straps allow for close contact between the paddler and the packraft, facilitating maneuvering and enhancing performance in technical paddling. Thigh straps and an adjustable backrest contribute to a comfortable and secure seating position, making it easier to edge, boof, and navigate whitewater.

Material

The Anfibio Revo XL+ is made of high-density, extra-strong 420/840 denier nylon—an extremely durable material. This material gives the packraft high tear and abrasion resistance while keeping the weight low. The coating on the packraft’s tubes makes it particularly resistant to wear.

The Plus(+) material version of the Revo XL+ is approximately 17% heavier than Anfibio’s standard material. However, due to higher weaving density, stronger fibers, and increased layer thickness, it is up to 80% stronger.

The boat’s floor is made of 840 denier nylon with a double urethane (TPU) coating on both sides, providing extra protection against wear and punctures.
